My Stitchin Bag

I bought this kit when visiting in Ashland. I’d taken 2 Sashiko classes and wanted a project to practice and perfect my technique. This bag was the perfect challenge. I learned a lot( never heard of applipops) and needed some additional clarification since I found the instructions confusing at times. The video from Sew Creative was helpful yet I needed more detail. I was creative with my design and stitching. My bag is sturdy, easy to open/ close and I’m very pleased with the outcome. I saw the video done online for this pattern and it looked like a very fun project. Looking forward to making this bag!

I have a sewing group and we all decided to do rice bags with fabric that I brought back from a trip to Japan recently. This pattern is very easy to follow.

I found the instructions somewhat confusing. Thank goodness for the pictures!
