When we moved to Medford last year, my sewing machine was in storage for months and I just HAD to sew something. So I got this kit because I thought it would be nice to sew by hand. I elected to forego the infinity aspect and sew a conventional scarf, which is an easy conversion. I sewed up the sides by hand with a backstitch, and turned it right side out. I stitched line of straight stitches sashiko-style about 1/4” from the outer edge to keep the scarf from collapsing on itself. It’s beautiful. The rayon feels very soft and cozy, and the colors are very pretty. I think the hand stitching gives a lovely result, and it kept me entertained for several chilly evenings. I’m surprised at how frequently I wear it, and I want to make another one just for a little variety. This kit is a great jumping off point for your creativity. Definitely consider slow stitching this because it’s a pleasant task and it yields a very nice look and feel.
