I made this quilt a few weeks ago, and found it to be a fun project. My quilt is lovely, and the piecework was challenging enough to be interesting but not so difficult that it frustrated me. I suggest using the Square Squared template (you can get that on this site) and the Acorn Precision Piecing package (also available on this site) in concert with the pattern. You’ll get a very good result. I was having so much fun making this quilt that I forgot about the time and didn’t go to bed until very late. Twice! If you love the Aboriginal fabrics, or elect to use any large scale prints, you will want to cut the large squares in one piece. Assembling the quilt with “partial seams” is an enjoyable little puzzle and adds to the joy of sewing this one together.
