Thanks for understanding! That pattern works so well for large print fabrics, Hawaiian prints, photo transfer, etc. We love using fat quarters with it and our size block utilizes the fabric well! We would love to see what you have created. Please share photos with us.

Hmmm . . .

Sew Creative used to display and sell a nearly identical kit (with aboriginal fabrics) called the Carousel Quilt, which is featured in the book Cozy Modern Quilts, by Kim Schaefer. Carousel features 7 x 9 columns/rows, while this has 6 x 8. I guess that change allows you to advertise this quilt with a different name and avoid the copyright issue that is spelled out in that book? Not at all sure how copyright works for quilts and other artwork . . . . In any case, I love the Carousel pattern and have made 5-6 versions of it - aboriginal, Christmas poinsettias, abstract paint splotches, etc. I also recommend the book.

Thanks for your review Jann. Sadly the book you refer to is out of print. We use fat quarters instead of 1/4 yards cuts which we find gives more variation to the blocks. Our finished version is also different from the original although they are similar. in appearance. If we could still sell the book, I promise you that we would! We do respect copyright whenever possible.
